Frequently Asked Questions
Hair transplant
Do I need to shave my head?
No, you do not need to shave your head, we specialise in non-shave implantation. If you choose to shave your head that is completely your choice.
How much swelling can I expect after my surgery?
The majority of our patients experience little to no swelling post-procedure. The small amount of patients that do get some swelling will subside within 3 days.
Do I need to take time off work?
Most patients take 1-2 days off work after their surgery and then work from home for 9-10 days. So once all the scabs are off (around 10-12 days post-op) they return to work when they feel more presentable because the scabs are gone.

Yes
Can I get an eyebrow transplant with tinted eyebrows?
Yes
When can I return to work?

Can I wash my face and do my normal skincare routine?
For the first 3 days, wash below the eyes and from day 4 onwards, you can wash your face as you normally would.
Am I allowed to wear makeup after my surgery?
Avoid makeup for the first 3 days. You can apply makeup from day 4 onwards, but please don't touch your eyebrows. Once the scabs have come off you are free to apply makeup to your face as you normally would including using eyebrow products such as an eyebrow pencil or clear eyebrow gel etc.
When will I see the results?
It is a very slow process waiting for the hairs to come through and grow, but here's what to expect post-op:
2 weeks to 4 months: shedding phase (hairs that have been implanted will fall out and it will look patchy).
4-8 months: slow patchy growth (hairs are beginning to establish themselves).
8-12 months: improvement in density (more hairs are coming through and the brows begin to look fuller).
12-18 months: full results come through.
How do I maintain my eyebrows?
Once the scabs are off, we encourage you to follow your post-op instructions on how to maintain your new eyebrows.
Can I get my eyebrows laminated after my surgery?
For the first 12 months post-op we recommend that you don't get any treatments done to your new eyebrows. This includes but is not limited to tinting, microblading, laminating, waxing, hair removal (laser, IPL etc). These treatments can cause a lot trauma to the skin/hairs and can have a significant impact on the final results. These are your own hairs learning to grow in a new area and take a long time to establish themselves.
Beard Transplant
Where do you take the hairs from?
From the back of your head, also known as the donor area.
Does it hurt?
The pain is from the local anaesthetic being injected, once that's done the procedure is pain free.
Can I wash my face after the surgery?
Comprehensive post-op instructions are provided to all patients, please follow post-op care instructions for further details.
Will people know I've had my beard done? Does it leave a scar?
It does not leave scarring on the face post-procedure.
When will I start to see the results?
2 weeks-4 months: You may experience shedding during this time.
4-6 months: Hairs begin to grow back slowly.
6-10 months: Density increase.
10-14 months: Further density increase, final results are now seen.

1 month post-op: Skin peels, Microdermabrasion
12 months post-op: Lasers
