The diagram on the left labels the anatomy of your hair:
• Hair Strand + Hair Shaft: The visible part that can seen above your scalp. A hair shaft is composed of a protein known as Keratin.
• Sebaceous Gland: A gland that opens into a hair follicle and secretes natural oils for your hair. This oil helps to lubricate and moisturize your hair strand and scalp.
• Arrector Pill: A muscle that influences the direction of the growth of your hair strand.
• Hair Follicle: A hair follicle is commonly called the hair root & is the cell that grows the hair strand that we see. The hair follicle can thought of as being the “seed” of your hair, like seed for a plant.
Every cell in your body relies on blood supply to keep it alive and healthy. Your hair follicles are the same. Hair follicles require a healthy QUANTITY and QUALITY of blood in order to produce a healthy and strong strand of hair. When treating hair loss, it is important to care for your HAIR FOLLICLE + SCALP + BLOOD SUPPLY.
To grow a plant you require:

To grow a hair you require:
A hair follicle, skin and blood.
• To grow a plant requires a SEED in GOOD SOIL with GOOD NUTRIENTS.
• To grow a hair requires a HAIR FOLLICLE in GOOD SKIN with GOOD BLOOD SUPPLY.
• If the plant’s nutrient levels were to decrease, then the plant will become weaker.
• If the follicle’s blood supply were to decrease, then the hair will start to become thinner.
• If the plant’s nutrient levels were to improve, then the plant will stop becoming weaker and it may regrow healthier.
• If the hair follicles blood supply were to improve, then the hair strands will stop becoming thinner and it may start regrow healthier.
• To grow MORE plants requires MORE plant seeds.
• To grow MORE hair requires MORE hair follicles.
• To grow THICKER + HEALTHIER plants requires an increase in the quality and quantity of fertilizer.
• To grow THICKER + HEALTHIER hair requires an increase in the quality and quantity of blood supply.
